For more than 120 years Mt. Olivet Cemetery has been a comforting and stable presence on Detroit’s east side. With more than 320 acres of carefully manicured lawns, Mt. Olivet pioneered the way north in the 20th century for southeast Michigan’s growing population.
Today the cemetery is the largest in the city. The property is home to many private family estate mausoleums interspersed with stately family monuments that memorialize multiple generations of Detroit area families. The expansive and gently rolling landscape embodies the grace and dignity that all of the Association’s cemeteries are known for. Mt Olivet Cemetery remains a compassionate final resting place and will be so for many more generations to come.
