Palma “Pam”, was the daughter of the late Alfred & Giovina “Julia” Navaroli.

She spent her first years in Pennsylvania until her family migrated to Michigan. Her family settled on the east side of Detroit where she graduated from St. Bernard’s Catholic High School.

Following high school, Palma married and began her family. She later became a single mother raising her five sons. She worked 2-3 jobs just to take care of her children. Palma worked for the Bank of Commonwealth and also at Sonny’s Hamburgers.

In the late 1970’s, Palma moved to Warren, Michigan, where she worked for Saratoga Hospital and later Holy Cross Hospital retiring as the 4th Floor Unit Secretary. While working in the hospital Palma was beloved by her co-workers and Doctors.

When Palma was not working, her life was centered around her family. She cherished the holiday celebrations at her mother’s home with her sons, and later in life enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and Mackinac Island with her family. Throughout her entire life, Palma was a caretaker and gave of herself to her family and others in need. She never forgot her upbringing and her Catholic faith in God which provided her strength through the loss of her son, and other difficult days. She will be forever remembered and loved by all who had the opportunity to know her.

Palma was the beloved mother of Paul Nichols, John Nichols, Michael Nichols, Ron (Traci) Nichols, and the late William “Billy” Nichols. She was also the loving grandmother of 14 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. Further surviving Palma are her siblings, Joanna Thomas, Al (Marlene) Navaroli, Theresa Goodman, the late Rose Navaroli, Horace (Betty) Navaroli, Paul Navaroli, and Julie Nichols.
